About MJM Self Storage of Clinton, LLC
Michael Milano
MJM Self Storage of Clinton, LLC is a family owned business with over 30 years of experience in the residential and commercial building and storage arena. In the early 1980's Michael Milano saw a growing need for storage facilities along the shoreline. Along with his father, John Milano, he designed and built eighteen buildings at six locations including many industrial and commercial rentals, and over 400 storage units. MJM has recently added residential rentals.

Our industrial and commercial rentals are based on yearly contracts, and our storage rentals are based on month-to-month rental agreements. MJM's regular units, where you can store items such as automobiles, boats, patio furniture, and household items, are accessible 24-7. Our climate control (heated and air conditioned) units are accessible Monday-Friday from 8am to 4:30pm, and are a great way to store antiques, heirlooms, electronics, business files, household, and other valuable items. Our climate controlled units have thirty-day recorded surveillance cameras, and are accessible by keyfobs which register the user and time of entry. Climate controlled units are both burglar alarmed and fire alarmed. MJM offers senior citizens discounts and veteran discounts to our storage customers. We currently accept Visa, Master, and Discover cards for you convenience, and we also sell packing supplies such as padlocks and boxes in our general office.

Our office and climate control units are open from 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Tessa Nelson, MJM's long-time office manager, can assist you with any questions you may have regarding your storage needs.
Tribute to Co-Founder, John M. Milano
John M. Milano
(1942-2007)

The father and son team of John M. and Michael J. Milano successfully ran the business of developing residential and commercial properties for twenty-four years. Their joint ventures included the construction of over 300 homes and 30 commercial projects for MJM Builders and MJM Self Storage of Clinton and Cheshire. The Terrace at West Wharf in Madison, and Tuttle Brook Farms in Haddam are their most recent projects.

John Milano transitioned from baker to builder. He saw the change as a business opportunity as well as a chance to work outdoors. John also saw an opportunity to teach his son the construction business from the ground up. As Michael remembers, it was occasionally from below ground up. He still recalls having to climb down into catch basins to clean them out. CLICK TO READ MORE »
